2008
I can’t say that I’m sad to see the end of 2008 because 2009 holds the beginning of a new time for this country…a fresh start with a new administration. I’m hoping that 2009 holds many positive changes.
For me 2008 was a year of growth. I am finally starting to feel at peace with myself. I’ve healed many old wounds and the damage that was done to me as a child is finally starting to be just a thing of the past. I feel happy and I haven’t been able to say that for a very long time.
So, goodbye 2008. I’m welcoming 2009 with open arms!
A Movie To See
Milk starring Sean Penn as Harvey Milk gets two thumbs up from me! Sean Penn is absolutely amazing!! GO SEE IT!
Who Doesn’t Love Vintage?
I’ve made some fabulous vintage clothing discoveries on Etsy! Here are a few of my faves;

Beautiful pink rose and cream poncho with fringe from HalfCaf
And this fabulous black cape with toggle button closure from Punky Tees Vintage
Christmas 2008
This Christmas didn’t turn out the way I had hoped. My little brother was home from Afghanistan and I only got to spend a couple of hours with him but a couple of hours is better than none. We had a pleasant Christmas Eve and Lily was thrilled with her new kitchen!
